What We Believe

Home 9 What We Believe

Doctrinal Statement

  • We believe that the Bible is God’s living Word. It is infallible as originally given, is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday life and is the supreme authority in all Christian doctrine and lifestyle.

  • We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator, Sustainer & Saviour. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man and is the only one who can reconcile us to God the Father. In His virgin birth, in His sinless and exemplary life, in His ministry and miracles, that He died on the cross in our place, in His bodily resurrection to prove His victory over death and sin and to empower us for life. And in His ascension to the right hand of the Father.

  • We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit who is the third member of the Godhead. In His essential work in the life of believers with His fruit and gifts available for all believers; and that He alone brings a conviction of sin, righteousness and judgement to the world at large. (John 16:5-15)

  • We believe that through the sin of one man (Adam) each of us is separated from God and His purpose for our lives. And through one mans righteous life and sacrifice, Jesus, we have been given access to God and His purpose for our lives. (Rom 3:23, 1 Cor 15:22 NLT)

  • We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 14:6)

  • We believe that in order to receive forgiveness of sins, experience ‘new spiritual birth,’ and enter into a personal relationship with God and fulfil His purpose for our lives. We must repent of our sins and put our faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, take up our cross and follow Him. (1 John 1:5-10, Matt 16:24-26)

  • We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful life that God intends for us, we need to be filled with the power of God through the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues. When we live a life by being continually filled with the Holy Spirit we are empowered and enabled to use spiritual gifts as the Holy Spirit directs. (Acts 1:8, Acts 2:1-4)

  • We believe the Church is the body of Christ, and is essential for every believer to be an active part of a local church, fulfilling the Great Commission and following Jesus’ example. (1 Cor 12:12-14, Eph 4:11-16)

  • We believe that God’s desire for us is that we are baptised in water by full immersion, and participate in the Lord’s Supper and to give tithes & offerings with a willing & cheerful heart. (Acts 2:38, Matt 26:17-30, Malachi 3:10, 2 Cor 3:9)

  • We believe Jesus came to bring freedom and purpose to every area of our lives; spiritual, emotional, and physical. That He wants to save, heal, transform and delivers us so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively. (Luke 4:18-19, Is 53)

  • We believe that God created the heaven and the Earth in a literal seven days as describe in the book of Genesis chapter one and two; and will establish a new heaven and earth at the end of time as describe in the book of Revelation chapter 21.

  • We believe in an enemy called the devil, who has been defeated by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. His purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. (John 10:10, Col 1:13, 2:15, Eph 6:10-16)

  • We believe in the premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the rapture of the church as describe in 1 Thess 4:13-18 and Rev 20:4-6.
